Hair Colour Trends Predictions with our Quif Artists
To discover what’s next to hit salons in the world of colour, we turned to Quif artists and industry-leading hair colourists, Brooke Evans and Georgia Bell, who shared their insights into upcoming trends, favourite colour techniques and what they’d love to see more of (and less of) in 2025, whilst discussing some lessons they’ve learnt on the way.

Georgia Bell - salon owner, multi-award winner and colour artist - sets the scene in creative colour, specialising in vivid colour blends and creative cuts. With a colourist niche of suitability, Georgia combines creative cuts with bold colour choices that ensure every client leaves her salon with a look that’s uniquely theirs.
Both artists bring an extensive amount of experience and share their dedication to the industry by pushing the boundaries with colour! Let’s dive into what our artists think 2025 has in store for the hair industry….
What Brooke & Georgia love about colouring
For Brooke, it’s all about the ability to transform and adapt colour. “Colour is changeable. Clients can truly try something bold, or subtle, and if it’s not for them, it can always be adjusted. Knowing the colour wheel and opposites is key to achieving any result.”
Georgia emphasises suitability. “I love doing colour well and matching it to what suits a client's personality and style. We don’t just sell hair at The Society, we sell confidence. Every colour and cut is tailored to enhance the client's individuality.”
2025 Trend Predictions with Brooke & Georgia
Brooke’s Take:
Brooke sees mocha hues taking centre stage. “Mocha Mousse is the colour for 2025. We’ve seen hints of this shade already, but it’s going to explode, especially with it being the Pantone Colour of the Year as well as the rise of softer, more natural balayage and subdued tones. Think creamy beiges, biscuits, and chocolatey shades—it’s perfect for clients who love the aesthetic look.”
Brooke also predicts that expensive all-over colours, like coppers, reds, and chocolates, will be in high demand. “Clients are moving away from overly complex techniques and shifting towards full-head colours that are both powerful and easy to maintain.”
Georgia’s Take:
Georgia sees creative cuts paired with bold, block colours taking over 2025. “The biggest colour trend of 2025 in my salon will be creative cuts, creative colouring and a lot of block colouring. We’re talking cowboy coppers, rich coppers - these are very much going to stay on trend. At my salon (The Society), we like to create our own trends though, as everyone who comes in is a little bit different. I do think that creative cuts and block colours will be huge!” She’s also keen on seeing more creative blends and well-executed big bleach jobs.
What our artists want to see more of in 2025
Brooke’s Take:
Brooke is hoping to see salons embrace more expensive-looking colours. “The mocha shades from Quif are stunning for creating those high-end looks, and full-head colours are a great way to keep clients coming back regularly.”
Georgia’s Take:
Georgia wants more creative colouring with precision, focusing on unique blends and bold corrections. “I’d like to see more creative blends and big bleach jobs that are done well. I am also hoping to see a lot more colour correction. I do think it really depends on the salon!”
What our artists want to see less of in 2025…
Brooke’s Take:
For Brooke, the chunky scalp bleach money piece has run its course. “A beautifully blended balayage with a subtle face frame is timeless, but the bold, chunky pieces have had their day.”
Georgia’s Take:
Georgia is over balayage altogether. “It’s terrible for client retention and doesn’t generate repeat appointments. It’s time to move on!”
Let’s get nostalgic…
We asked our artists what they would love to come back around into their salons. Brooke reminisces about the dramatic ombre and dip-dyes, but this time with the ability to showcase a colourist’s technical skill. Georgia is hoping to revisit 90-inspired looks such as the racoon tail and chunky stripes as well as shine lines and avant-garde cuts.
Advice from our experts
Both of our artists emphasise the importance of consultation and customisation, ensuring you’re listening to your client's wants and needs. Brooke encourages colourists to think beyond single techniques and use a mix to elevate their work. Georgia stresses that every colour decision should enhance the client’s personality and overall vibe, so they leave the salon feeling confident, and the best version of themselves.
Let’s recap…
From rich, warm mocha tones to bold, creative colour pairings, 2025 is set to be the year of personalisation and artistry in hair colour. Whether you’re embracing the natural mocha trend or experimenting with block colouring and creative blends, 2025 is set to bring a refreshing stance on hair colour within the industry, and we can’t wait to watch it unfold…
