Achieving the gorgeous 'Caramel Brownie' with magi:lights

How To Get The Look:

Our model started as a natural level 5, with an old multi-tonal balayage through the ends. The first step to achieving the 'Caramel Brownie' was highlighting. Here is what we used for the perfect lift:

• 20g Magi:light bond enforced powder lightener + 40g 10vol/3% Magi:fuel

• 20ml Magi:lights Soft Gold + 30ml 40vol/12% Magi:fuel developer

• 20ml Magi:lights Soft Beige + 30ml 40vol/12% Magi:fuel developer

Firstly, we started sectioning the front and side hairlines weaving and gently backcombing 1cm of hair towards the root. We applied our magi:lights Soft Gold mixture in a feathering motion for a gradient effect. Taking another 1cm section, we weaved then applied the second mixture, Soft Beige, again in a feathering motion. Our next foil was applied in the same way with the magi:light bond enforced powder lightener. Repeat this process throughout the head.

Once the foils were in, we mixed our magi:gloss formula:

• 20ml magi:gloss 3:0/3N + 20ml magi:gloss 5:13/5AG + 60ml gloss activator

Applying this between each and every foil from roots to ends, we waited for the magi:gloss to develop for 20 minutes.

Fast forward 20 minutes, the foils were removed and the hair was rinsed and shampooed ready for a blowdry. For that added volume, foam party voluminising styling foam by Shed was applied to the damp hair and blow-dried using the Alfa Italia Aurora Pro Ionic Smart Dryer. For styling, the hair was sealed with the force-field heat protectant and curled using the Alfa Italia Tropea 32mm barrel for that voluminous curl. And here are the results!
