Indola returns as the official hair partner at London Fashion Week for Huishan Zhang for the Third Consecutive Season…
Professional haircare brand Indola proudly marked its third consecutive season as the official hair sponsor for the Huishan Zhang Spring/Summer 25 show at London Fashion Week.
This ongoing partnership continues to showcase Indola’s cutting-edge products and expert styling, perfectly complementing Huishan Zhang’s signature sophisticated and contemporary designs.
The Spring/Summer 25 collection from Huishan Zhang explores the power of love and desire expressed through the details of dress. Influenced by The Hand, a short film directed by Wong Kar-Wai, for the 2004 anthology, Eros, in which a young tailor falls for a beautiful and enigmatic client, the collection celebrates the idea of sensuality. The hair looks were carefully curated to enhance this aesthetic, and lead stylist Johanna Cree Brown took the creative brief and translated it into something unique yet fitting for the runway.
“The hair brief was that all girls had to have their hair off the faces and all hair had to have symmetry," said Johanna Cree Brown. "Working with this brief, I decided to do a glossy, glued-down, slightly gothic Chignon.
By working with square lines and sections and positioning the Chignon asymmetrically, we ensured it didn’t look too much like a wedding or ballerina style. It needed to be elegant yet cool."
To achieve this sleek and modern look, Johanna and her team used a variety of key Indola products from the new Care & Style range:
- INDOLA Volume & Blow Dry Spray: Saturated into the roots to create a flat, sleek base, blow-dried with Kent Salon bristle brushes for a perfectly smooth finish.
- INDOLA Flexible Hairspray: Applied to seal the hair in place and eliminate any volume.
- INDOLA Treat & Tame: Used for the twists to hydrate and ensure the hair remains smooth and sleek throughout.
- INDOLA Shine Wax: Provided a glossy, polished finish that gave the Chignon its final touch of elegance.

The result was a glossy, gothic-inspired Chignon that played with symmetry while remaining sleek and modern. The hairstyle complemented Huishan Zhang’s structured designs, enhancing the powerful and refined aesthetic on the runway.
