How To Create A Muted Colour Look With Topchic

To create a dusty, subdued colour direction, apply on natural, pre-lightened or previously coloured hair. Use a stand-alone shade or alternate with a shade from a similar shade direction to avoid strong contrasts. Add System @Pure Pigments to give your muted colours more dimension.

Use Colour Melting by alternating the formulas in ‘Zig Zag’ sections to achieve multi-dimensional ‘muted’ results. The Colour Melting technique allows a seamless transition with dimension when sections overlap.

Expert Tip: Thinner sections allow a more blended result and a multi-tonal effect. Choosing shades from similar shade direction avoids strong contrasts.

STEP 1: PRE-LIGHTENING

  • Pre-lighten with Oxycur Platin Dust-Free Bleach Use back-to-back stretched highlights to create a lighter effect

STEP 2: COLOUR

  • Regrowth 50 ml System Developer Lotion 6% (20 vol.) + 30 ml Topchic 8KN + 15 ml Topchic 7BN + 5 ml Topchic 7G + 6 drops System @Pure Pigments Cool Pink
  • Mid-lengths and ends 60 ml System Developer Lotion 2% (7 vol.) + 20 ml Colorance 10BB + 10 ml Colorance Pastel Peach + 5 drops System @Pure Pigments Cool Pink
  • Mid-lengths and ends 50 ml System Developer Lotion 3% (10 vol.) + 30 ml Topchic 8KN + 20 ml Topchic 8B

STEP 3: POST COLOUR CARE & STYLING
